BSU rector Anar Nagiyev, who gave an introductory speech at the event, spoke about the importance of digitalization in the rapidly changing world. Rector emphasized the importance of people acquiring other additional knowledge and skills in addition to their profession. Anar Nagiyev reminded that Azerbaijan will host one of the world's largest events, such as COP29, and said that the essence of this event is to show the impact of climate change on our lives as a result of environmental pollution after the beginning of the industrialization period. At the end of his speech, A. Nagiyev invited students to actively participate in the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon project.
Anar Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, gave detailed information to the students about the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon project. He organized this project by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, AzTU and Information Valley and in partnership with a number of Acceleration and Incubaiya Centers within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World 2024" on May 15-17, 2024 at the Baku Expo Center located in Baku. He said that it will take place at the Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition. A. Jafarov familiarized the students with the registration process and rules of the competition regarding participation in the hackathon. Also, A. Jafarov said that the teams will be provided with ecologically clean food and juices during the competition period.
The representative of SABAH.HUB Innovation Center, Zahra Amrahova, gave information about the Center, talked about the importance of start-ups and invited students to actively participate in the hackathon.
