An info session on the "GreenAgroHack" competition was held

Meetings regarding the hackathon competition "GreenAgroHack" have been started with the organization of the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, "Bilisim Vadisi" Baku Center, Azerbaijan Technical University and the partnership of a number of Incubation and Acceleration Centers. The information session for students regarding the hackathon was first held at Azerbaijan Technical University. .

We inform you that "GreenAgroHack" is a competition to find and prepare certain technological solutions in accordance with the technical task given within the framework of the "17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition" which will be held on May 15-17, 2024 within the period of 29 hours 29 minutes 29 seconds.

The goal of the hackathon is to develop special software, intelligent solutions in the field of agriculture with the participation of students of the country's leading higher education institutions within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World", and to promote the role and importance of innovation in the agricultural field among young people.

It should be noted that to participate in the hackathon, teams of a maximum of 5 people (at least 1 woman and 1 person from the graduates of previous years as a mentor) formed from students of at least two different universities can apply or individually. After the applications are finished, the organization will be grouped into 5-person teams by the committee.

During the meeting held at Azerbaijan Technical University, rector Vilayat Valiyev, director of Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, director of "Bilisim Vadisi" Baku Center Gamat Karimov, head of "FemTech" Acceleration Center Nargiz Amrahova gave detailed information about the conditions of the hackathon and invited students to participate in the hackathon.

Rector V. Valiyev noted that the hackathon is important in terms of demonstrating the talents, knowledge and skills of young people who are distinguished by their innovative approaches, and wished success to the participants.

A. Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, emphasized that in this hackathon held in order to increase the interest of young people in the projects and start-up programs implemented in the agrarian field, conditions will be created for the participation of students from all universities in teams, and prizes will be given to the winning teams.

G. Karimov said that all conditions of participation related to the hackathon will be published on social networks by the organizer and partner institutions in the coming days.

N. Amrahova invited women to actively participate in the hackathon in order to encourage them to succeed in the world of innovation and technology, and to support their career development.

After the information session, the laboratory and workshop of the university were inspected.

It should be noted that information sessions related to the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon competition will be held in other higher education institutions of the country.
