The next "Bootcamp" was organized by the Agricultural Innovation Center within the framework of the "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture" project, which promotes the application of digital technologies and innovative approaches in the field of agriculture.
The main goal of the Bootcamp is to increase the knowledge and skills of young professionals, study agricultural innovations in a practical environment, and ensure exchange of experience between large specialized companies, acceleration and incubation centers, as well as students.
Students studying in the specialties of "Information Technologies", "Agronomy", "Electronics", "Food Sciences", "Computer Engineering" and "Data Analytics" participated in the "Bootcamp" organized on the territory of the "Food City Agrocomplex" located in the Khachmaz district on August 6-7. The two-day event was attended by 30 students from about 20 higher education institutions, as well as specialists from more than 10 acceleration and incubation centers. Participants had the opportunity to gain on-the-spot experience in the application of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector.
At the official opening ceremony of the "Bootcamp", Deputy Head of the Khachmaz District Executive Power Anar Orujlu, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, CEO of "Food City Agrocomplex" Anar Aghayev, and Advisor to the Business Development Fund Namig Zeynalov spoke and informed the students about the application of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector, the advantages of digital technologies, and the future development prospects of the sector. During the speeches, issues such as the modernization of agricultural education, the involvement of young people in this field, and the integration of innovations into the regions were also touched upon. The impact of digital transformation on farmers' productivity, resource conservation, and export opportunities was particularly emphasized. The speakers stressed the importance of increasing young people's interest in this field and called on them to participate more actively in innovation-based projects. During the meeting, the importance of practical knowledge and participation in real projects for students to build a successful career in this field in the future was emphasized.
The event included practical presentations and demonstrations by representatives of acceleration and incubation centers, as well as specialized agricultural companies. The participants visited the "Shabran Agro Tourism Center" innovative farm, the Scientific Research Institute of Fruit Growing and Tea Growing, the institute's "Smart Garden" fruit growing area, and the "Amoris" and "Firdevs" innovative farms. During the infotours, practical information was presented on digital solutions, sensor technologies, and artificial intelligence algorithms applied on farms.
Bootcamp participants were also given the opportunity to participate in the Agricultural Business Festival and Peach Festival held in Khachmaz. During the festival, students learned about the agricultural ecosystem, local production, and the region's agrotourism potential. The main goal of the event is to increase interest in agriculture among young people, promote the application of artificial intelligence and technologies in the agricultural sector, as well as create conditions for strengthening knowledge and skills in a real agricultural environment.
