The first Agrarian Business Festival of 2024 was held in Salyan district. Farmers from Salyan, Saatli, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Bilasuvar, Sabirabad, Jalilabad regions took part in the festival organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Enterprise Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy, and the Consumer Goods Expertise Center.
Agricultural devices and equipment based on innovative solutions, modern new technologies were exhibited at the festival. In addition to the products of agricultural machinery, fertilizers, seeds, medicines, seedlings and other agricultural production companies, the latest achievements of the Scientific and Research Institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture were displayed, and the participants of the festival were informed about the activities of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry.
Sevindik Hatamov, the head of the Salyan District Executive Power, who opened the event with an opening speech, pointed out that important attention is paid to the development of agriculture in Salyan District, as in all regions of the country, and that such events are admirable.
Anar Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, said that the main goal of the Agrarian Business Festivals held in the regions is to ensure access to agricultural products and technologies for farmers living in the regions.
At the festival, "Advantages and importance of summer cultivation" by the Plantation Organization and Monitoring Department of the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, "Autumn grain care and weed control" by the Agrarian Training Center under the Agrarian Services Agency, "Agricultural crop insurance" by the Agrarian Insurance Fund. farmers were trained on these topics.
Also, the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy, the Consumer Goods Expertise Center, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan were informed about the state support mechanisms provided to farmers.
Plants with high economic income potential were exhibited at the festival. Farmers were given information about the cultivation of these crops using efficient breeding methods and technologies, high income value.
By bringing together parties who have a role in the development of agribusiness at the festival, conditions were created for more farmers-entrepreneurs to benefit from financial support and state benefits.
