The last Agrarian Innovation Festival organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the year was held in Kurdamir region.  

Farmers from Sabirabad, Imishli, Zardab, Ujar, Goychay, Agsu, Hajigabul districts of Kurdamir and surrounding regions participated in the festival.

At the festival, representatives of institutions and companies representing state and private units operating in the agricultural field promoted their products and services.

In addition to traditional products covering various fields of agriculture, "smart" agricultural systems, new drought-resistant breeding achievements, ecological system compatible technologies and advanced equipment were demonstrated. In addition to local companies, the producer of organic fertilizers and 2 companies specializing in the production of biotechnological equipment and agricultural machinery from the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the festival.

At the final festival of the year, a panel discussion was held on the section "Increasing digital agricultural knowledge" for product producers in order to demonstrate the role and effectiveness of the application of advanced technologies in the field of agriculture.

Representatives of private companies operating in the local market will talk about progressive technologies that allow irrigation management and monitoring of indicators using a touch panel or smartphone, GPS technologies placed on agricultural machinery and controlled remotely, discussions were held on the promotion of the use of advanced technologies and practices, presentations were made mobile applications created to increase access to services for farmers in the field of agriculture.

Crop producers were educated on the services of digitization in agriculture to increase productivity and cost efficiency in agriculture, reduce crop loss and wastage, facilitate adaptation to climate change and expand market opportunities.

In a new section of the festival, plants with high economic income potential were exhibited and farmers were given information about the possibility of increasing the profitability of the farm several times by cultivating plants with high income value using efficient breeding methods and technologies.

Also, within the framework of the festival, training was conducted by the specialists of the local company. During the festival, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurial Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agrarian Innovation Center with the intention of developing and intensifying entrepreneurship and business in the field of agriculture, mutually beneficial and bilateral cooperation.

According to the memorandum, it is envisaged to support and strengthen mutual cooperation in the agricultural field, and to implement coordination, information exchange and educational measures in public-private relations.

At the same time, a cooperation agreement was signed between two private companies that benefited from the cooperation opportunities created by the festival, and based on the cooperation, remotely controlled GPS technologies were installed on agricultural machinery.

Within the framework of the festival, another device that cleans bees from "varroa" mites was donated by a local company to one of the leading beekeepers of the region.

It should be noted that the Agrarian Innovation Festival was held in 14 districts this year. At these festivals, which were attended and benefited by about 12,000 farmers, products and technologies covering various fields of agriculture were exhibited, and about 50 training and information sessions were held on the priority topics of the agrarian field.
