The 8th seed exhibition and sale fair was held in Bilasuvar district. Farmers from Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Jalilabad, Masalli, Lankaran, Astara, Lerik and Yardimli, jointly organized by Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian Services Agency, State Seed Fund, Public Union “Azerbaijan Seed Growers Association” producers, companies engaged in the production and sale of large seeds participated. Seed producers got the opportunity to sell by showing their products to farmers.
Mainly cereals (barley, wheat), as well as vegetable plant varieties and seeds were exhibited at the fairs. Within the framework of the seed exhibition and sale fairs, farmers were given detailed information about obtaining certified seeds, correct selection of varieties according to the soil and climate characteristics of the regions, cleaning and conditioning of seeds, and trainings were held on various topics related to seed production in order to educate farmers.
It should be noted that during the season fairs were organized in Sheki, Shamakhi, Agstafa, Gusar, Agjabedi, hajigabul, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar regions. High reproduction, certified seeds for planting autumn cereals were displayed at the seed exhibition and sale fairs, which started from the city of Sheki on August 11. The main purpose of holding fairs in different regions is the formation of the seed market, holding business and efficient meetings, and ensuring the availability of certified seeds for farmers. The seed exhibition-sale fair organized in Bilasuvar is the last fair of the season.
Various innovative products and technologies were demonstrated by local and foreign companies at the 25th Agrarian Innovation Festival organized in Bilasuvar in order to promote innovations in the field of agriculture and expand business relations between farmers and entrepreneurs. Subordinate agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture presented their advice and services to producers of agricultural products, informed about the working principle of the displayed products and technologies and the advantages of using them.
It should be noted that in order to promote innovations in the agricultural field, it is planned to organize Agrarian Innovation Festivals in other regions of our republic.
