Agrarian Innovation Festivals organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture continue in the regions. The next festival was held in Agjabedi district. The 5th seed exhibition and sale fair of the season was held at the festival organized on the territory of the State Flag Square.
About 30 seed producers exhibited their products at the fair. At the seed exhibition and sale fair organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center, Agrarian Services Agency, State Seed Fund and Azerbaijan Seed Growers Association, about the correct selection of regionalized plant varieties according to the soil and climate conditions of the region, the importance of agrotechnical care in increasing productivity, the importance of giving preference to certified seeds as planting material educational activities were carried out.
Here, farmers got acquainted with the certified seeds of newly regionalized plant varieties of local and foreign selection and placed their orders for future plantings.
During the festival, about 40 local and foreign companies offering their services and products participated in the agrarian field, along with producers engaged in seed production. Advanced irrigation facilities based on innovative solutions and saving resources, agricultural machinery, tillage tools, seeds of new regionalized agricultural plant varieties, animal breeds, fertilizers and pesticides were demonstrated by specialized companies.
Along with companies operating in the field of agriculture, Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian Insurance Fund, “Agroservis” OJSC, State Seed Fund, Artificial Fertilization Center, as well as specialists of scientific research institutes informed the farmers about their services.
The Agrarian Training Center of the Agrarian Services Agency held a training session on “Agrotechnical maintenance rules for growing wheat and barley”.
At the festival, which was received with interest by the farmers, ideas and experiences were exchanged, and advice and recommendations were given regarding the issues that concern them.
The next festival will be held on September 14 in Hajigabul district.
