The Center for Agricultural Innovations of the Ministry of Agriculture organized a seed exhibition and sale and an agricultural business festival in Agsu and Zardab districts. Seed growers from the Central Aran and Nagorno-Shirvan economic regions, as well as companies engaged in the production and sale of seeds, participated in the seed exhibition and sale, demonstrating and selling their products.

At the fairs, participants were informed about the importance of choosing certified seeds as planting material that meet local conditions and soil characteristics, as well as the role of agrotechnical care in increasing crop yields.

Speaking at the official opening, Director of the Agricultural Innovation Center Anar Jafarov noted that unlike last year, this year seed exhibitions and sales fairs organized by the Center will be held in 13 regions of 9 economic districts. Anar Jafarov emphasized that these festivals open up broad opportunities for cooperation, providing farmers with access to agricultural innovations and financial resources. It was noted that 8 seed fairs were held last year, covering 7 economic regions. According to Madina Aliyeva, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Seed Growers Association, the purpose of the fair is to form a local seed market, meet the demand for local seeds before autumn planting, and facilitate the establishment of direct links between seed producers and farmers.

Chairman of the Union of Agricultural Workers Fuad Mammadov said that organizing such fairs in various regions before autumn planting provides farmers with access to high-quality and certified seeds. Regional and certified seeds were presented at the fair, and specialists gave recommendations to farmers on the technology of sowing grain and vegetables.

As part of the event, specialists from the Agency for Agricultural Services organized an information session for farmers on the topic of "Certification of Wheat and Barley". Various agricultural products and equipment were presented at the Agrarian Business Festival in Agsu, which became the final event of the Central Aran Economic Region. Public institutions and private companies participating in the event informed the participants about their services and offered their products in accordance with their activities. Within the framework of the festival, along with the exhibition and sale of seeds, panel discussions were held on the topic of "Prospects for the Development of the Agricultural Sector of the Central Aran Economic Region". Experts from local private companies operating in the country shared their experiences and discussed priority areas of agriculture in the region.

As part of the events held in Agsu and Zardab districts, a credit fair for farmers was also organized. At the credit fair, farmers were offered various credit products and information materials were presented.

It should be noted that the main purpose of holding exhibitions and sales of seeds in various regions is to further develop the seed market and ensure farmers' access to certified seeds.
