The next Agrarian Business Festival and seed exhibition-sale fair was held in Shabran district under the organization of the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. Farmers from Guba, Gusar, Siyazan and Shabran regions are participated in the events.

Agricultural products and technologies, certified seeds of various plant varieties were displayed at the festival held in the territory of the Shabran Agro Tourism Center.

Here, farmers got acquainted with the certified seeds of newly regionalized plant varieties belonging to local and foreign breeding and placed their orders for planting.

At the festival, subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture presented their advice and services to farmers. During the festival, experts provided consulting services to agricultural producers.

Asif Huseynov, the head of the Shabran District Executive Power, who opened the event with an introductory speech, said that important attention is paid to the development of seed farming, as in all fields of agriculture. Asif Huseynov said that the seed exhibition and sale fair held today in the region serves the development of seed production and also creates great opportunities for farmers from the region and surrounding regions to buy quality seeds.

Anar Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, noted that modern innovations are used in seed production today, and seeds suitable for different climatic conditions are grown. Farmers have the opportunity to make a free choice at these fairs held in the regions organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. In his speech, Anar Jafarov emphasized that during the season, seed exhibition-sale fairs were held in 13 different districts and fairs were planned to be organized in 2 more districts.

Later, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agricultural Procurement and Supply OJSC Elgun Mahammadalizade spoke about the activity of the institution and the currently implemented projects. Head of State Support Department of Agrarian Credit and Development Agency Rashad Fattahov informed about the new decision of the Agrarian Subsidy Council and Shohrat Mammadov, head of Shabran Agro Tourism Center, informed about the advantages of using innovative technologies today.

Later, the complex's horticulture and exhibition area were reviewed.

The festival was attended by local and foreign companies offering their services and products in the agrarian field, along with producers engaged in seed production.

Advanced irrigation devices based on innovative solutions and saving resources, agricultural machinery, tillage tools, seeds of new regionalized agricultural plant varieties, fertilizers and pesticides were demonstrated by specialized companies.

At the same time, a credit fair for farmers was organized within the framework of the festival. Various profitable loan products were offered to farmers at the credit fair. According to the new decision of the Agrarian Subsidy Council, information sessions on subsidies were organized by the specialists of the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture.

Within the framework of the festival, a round table was held with the participation of specialists of country’s innovative farms specializing in the agricultural field and applying new technologies. The participants exchanged ideas and experiences on the application of new technologies in agriculture.

It should be noted that on the eve of the autumn planting season of 2024, seed exhibition and sale fairs were held in Sheki, Oguz, Agsu, Zardab, Goranboy, Tartar, Masalli, Neftchala, Balaken, Gakh, Nakhchivan, Sharur and Shabran regions.
