The next Agrarian Business Festival was held in Saatli

The next Agrarian Business Festival was organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center in Saatli district.

Farmers from Saatli, Sabirabad, Salyan, Imishli, Bilasuvar and Kurdamir regions took part in the festival, where various agricultural technologies and products were displayed. At the exhibition, state institutions and companies specialized in the field of agriculture provided farmers with extensive information about services and products.

In order to promote the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be hosted by our country in 2024, nature-protecting and climate-friendly technologies were demonstrated at the festival.

Also, a start-up zone was organized at the festival with the participation of the winners of the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon competition. In the startup zone, the winning participants demonstrated "green smart solutions", irrigation technologies that collect air, soil, humidity and moisture indicators, and mobile applications that provide advisory services to farmers to the festival participants.

Within the framework of the festival, beekeepers successfully represented at the 17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition and farmers from Saatli and Bilasuvar regions were awarded for their high results in the field of cotton growing.

Within the framework of the festival, in accordance with the priorities of the COP29 initiative, videos on the topics of efficient use of water and land resources and biodiversity were shown.

At the festival, trainings were held to educate farmers on the priority areas of the region. Training on "Technical parameters of new cotton varieties, agrotechnology of cultivation and organization of their seed production" by the Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Plants and "Combating diseases, pests and weeds in cotton and watermelon cultivation" by a private company operating in the agricultural field, as well as presentations were held.

After the festival, together with the participants of the hackathon, a tour was organized to the farm of "Agro Dairy" LLC in Hajigabul district.

It should be noted that tours to agro-industrial complexes will be organized regularly throughout the year together with the winning participants of the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon organized by the Center for Agrarian Innovation. The main goal of the infotour is to support the development of prototypes of smart green solutions of hackathon participants.
