The next Agrarian Business Festival was held in Gabala

Agrarian Business Festival was held in Gabala ASAN Service Center with the organization of Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Farmers from Balaken, Gakh, Gabala, Oguz, Zagatala and Sheki districts participated in the festival, which was organized in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Consumer Goods Expertise Center and Confederation of Entrepreneurs.

At the festival, it was possible for experts from supplier companies and state institutions, who are stakeholders in agricultural activities, to meet with farmers and exchange experience and sell products.

More than 60 private companies and state institutions operating in the agricultural sector were represented at the event. About 10 banks and non-bank credit organizations participated in the Agrarian Business Festival in order to support the development of entrepreneurship in the region and raise awareness about the provision of concessional loans.

In order to promote the calls for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be hosted by our country in 2024, nature-protecting and climate-friendly technologies were demonstrated at the festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, the head of the Executive Power of Gabala region Sabuhi Abdullayev, the director of the Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, the vice-president of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs Vugar Zeynalov, the deputy director of the Consumer Goods Expertise Center Vidadi Guliyev and the head of the KTN Protocol sector Togrul Gafarbeyli brought together the entrepreneurs and farmers of the Agrarian Business Festivals. have valued it as a platform that makes an important contribution to the awareness process.

Within the framework of the festival, on the occasion of the Day of Entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs who achieved high results within the framework of Agrarian Business Festivals during the first quarter of 2024 were awarded with a letter of appreciation.

At the festival, experts from the Department of Organization and Monitoring of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture made a presentation on "Tobacco production in Azerbaijan in 2023". Leaders of tobacco processing and production enterprises, tobacco farmers participated in the presentation. The participants were given extensive information about tobacco production, supply, processing and productivity, as well as state support measures implemented in this direction.

At the awareness session, opinions were exchanged about the current situation of tobacco farming, the current difficulties, and suggestions were made.
