The first Agrarian Business Festival of 2025 was held in Imishli district. Farmers from Imishli, Saatli, Sabirabad, Beylagan and Bilasuvar districts participated in the festival, organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. Various agricultural products, machinery and equipment were exhibited at the festival. Farmers were introduced to seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, modern irrigation technologies and agricultural machinery, and received detailed information on their application.
Elchin Rzayev, the head of the Imishli District Executive Power, who opened the event with a speech, emphasized that such events make an important contribution to the development of agriculture in the regions, the education of farmers and the introduction of new technologies. Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, emphasized that Agrarian Business Festivals are an important platform for delivering modern technologies and innovations in agriculture to farmers, as well as strengthening relations between farmers and supplier companies. Yalchin Jamalov, Chairman of the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency, spoke about the state's support for the agricultural sector, especially preferential loans and other financial mechanisms. He noted the importance of farmers using these opportunities effectively.
In order to promote women's entrepreneurship and promote local products, women's groups from Barda, Fuzuli, Beylagan, and Aghdam regions presented their products as part of the festival. A total of 22 female entrepreneurs participated in the festival, including women's groups "Aysu" and "Shahbulag" representing the Barda region, "Shamama" from the Fuzuli region, "Gulshan" and "Elat" from the Beylagan region, and "Shushali" from the Aghdam region, demonstrating and selling local products. As part of the festival, in addition to offering various agricultural services and demonstrating products, a credit fair was held to support the development of entrepreneurship in the regions, as well as to increase the financial literacy of farmers and provide information on the provision of preferential loans. Experts from about 10 banks and non-bank credit organizations participating in the fair provided advice and recommendations on granting loans to their potential clients.
In addition, a panel discussion on "State Financial Mechanisms" was held as part of the event. Representatives of the Agricultural Credit and Development Agency, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the Agricultural Insurance Fund, banks and credit organizations participated in the discussion. During the panel discussions, farmers were provided with information about preferential loans, state support for agriculture and other financial mechanisms, farmers' questions were answered, and technical support was provided to those applying for agricultural loans. Within the framework of the festival, meetings were held between farmers and entrepreneurs and representatives of banks and credit organizations, and potential cooperation opportunities were discussed.
