The next Agrarian Business Festival and seed exhibition-sales fair were held jointly organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agrarian Services Agency and the Jalilabad District Executive Power. Farmers from the Lankaran-Astara economic region participated in the event.

The purpose of the fair was to promote innovative approaches in the agricultural sector, strengthen cooperation with farmers, develop the seed sector and contribute to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the region. The event was attended by organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture, other state structures, private companies and farmers. Farmers received information about support mechanisms, products and cooperation opportunities by communicating directly with representatives of these organizations.

The festival was also attended by a number of companies operating in the fields of sale and production of seeds, medicines, seedlings and plant protection products, as well as agricultural machinery and irrigation systems. Companies presented their products and services and informed farmers about modern agrotechnical innovations, plant protection measures, the importance of proper irrigation and technical support.

Representatives of bank and non-bank credit organizations participating in the festival provided detailed information about the preferential loans, leasing and insurance services they provide to farmers and entrepreneurs operating in the agricultural sector.

Within the framework of the fair, farmers were presented with seed varieties distinguished by their high productivity. In accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the region, the use of soft wheat varieties “Yubiley-90”, “Layagatli-80”, “Esperia” and “Gobustan”, durum wheat “Khudaferin”, “Ravan” and “Goytepe”, as well as barley varieties “Finola”, “Jalilabad-19” and “Dayanatli” was recommended.

Within the framework of the festival, sales opportunities were created for local producers, participants got acquainted with the exhibition of agricultural products of the region and gained new opportunities for cooperation.
