The next Agrarian Business Festival, organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, was held in the Agdash district.
The festival, which took place in front of the administrative building of the Agdash District Executive Power, was attended by farmers operating in the Central Aran economic region, representatives of government agencies, and companies specializing in the agricultural sector.
The event participants were informed about the state's support mechanisms in the agricultural sector, subsidies and preferential credit opportunities, and also got acquainted with modern agricultural technologies and innovative solutions.
Speaking at the official opening of the festival, the head of the Agdash District Executive Power, Orkhan Huseynzade, emphasized that the development of the agricultural sector is of strategic importance for the region and that such festivals play an important role in educating farmers and introducing them to new technologies.
In his speech, MP Sahib Aliyev spoke about the state support provided to the agricultural sector in the country and noted the importance of developing agriculture based on innovative approaches. Member of Parliament Mazahir Efendiyev, speaking at the festival, emphasized the importance of expanding farmers' access to financial and credit sources, and said that such festivals have a positive impact on the development of entrepreneurial activity in the agricultural sector.
Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, noted in his speech that Agrarian Business Festivals, in addition to demonstrating new technologies and products, are also a platform for education and exchange of experience. He said that through these festivals, farmers not only get acquainted with the latest innovations applied in the agricultural sector, but also gain new opportunities to market their products.
Speaking at the official opening event, Farid Velizadeh, Chief Advisor to the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), noted that such festivals play an important platform for promoting joint projects among farmers, integrating modern technologies into farms, and increasing access of agricultural products to local and international markets.
After the official opening ceremony, the event participants visited the stands set up at the festival.
Government agencies participating in the festival demonstrated the services they provide in accordance with their areas of activity, while companies specializing in the agricultural sector demonstrated agricultural machinery and equipment, modern irrigation systems, seed and seedling varieties, new generation fertilizers and pesticides, climate change-resistant plant varieties, as well as other innovative solutions.
A credit fair was organized as part of the festival to expand farmers' access to financial and insurance services. The fair provided information on preferential loans and financial support mechanisms for the agricultural sector from banks and non-bank credit institutions, financial and insurance institutions.
A panel discussion on "State Financial Mechanisms" was held as part of the event aimed at educating farmers.
During the discussions, with the participation of experts from the Agricultural Credit and Development Agency, the Agricultural Insurance Fund, and leading banks and non-bank credit organizations operating in the country, an exchange of views was held on financial instruments contributing to the development of the agricultural sector and the prospects for financing the agricultural sector in the Central Aran economic region.
Within the framework of the sessions, the opinions of farmers and entrepreneurs were listened to and their questions were answered.
It should be noted that the Agrarian Business Festivals organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center will be organized in all economic regions of the country and will provide farmers with the opportunity to benefit from the latest technologies and innovations applied in the agricultural sector.
