The next Agrarian Innovation Festival was organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center in Shamkir region. Innovative products and technologies for agriculture were demonstrated at the festival organized in the territory of Shamkir Agropark. The festival, is organized by exhibition, start-up zones, round table, training and information sessions where various techniques, equipment and agricultural plants are displayed.
Speaking at the opening of the festival, the head of the Shamkir District Executive Authority Rashad Taghiyev and the chief of staff of the Ministry of Agriculture Rafail Guliyev spoke about the importance of such festivals organized in the regions. Anar Jafarov, director of Agrarian Innovation Center, made presentation of the “Agroinnofest” project and gave detailed information about the festival.
At the festival, various agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles, planting materials obtained on the basis of modern technologies, fruit and vegetable samples grown by new methods, grape processing products, new technologies applied in cotton cultivation, modern irrigation systems and water pumps working with alternative energy sources, analytical tests to determine the diagnosis of a number of existing diseases on animals and many other agricultural techniques were demonstrated.
During the festival, experts provided consulting services to producers of agricultural products, informed about the working principle of the displayed innovative technologies and the advantages of using them. At the same time, trainings were held on the topics "Insured plant species in agriculture", "Organization of intensive feeding", "Smart monitoring systems in greenhouses", "Entrepreneur support mechanisms", "Milk milking systems", "Fertilizers".
In accordance with the agenda of the festival, a round table on "Development of agriculture in innovative ways: "Agroparks and cooperation prospects" was organized with the joint participation of representatives of Agroparks, research institutes and private companies.
It should be noted that in order to ensure the accessibility of agrarian innovations to agricultural producers, the Agrarian Innovation Center organizes innovation festivals in different regions of the country. At these festivals organized in Ganja, Sheki, Fuzuli, Lankaran, Guba, Ujar, Gobustan, Aghstafa, Zagatala, Imishli regions, thousands of farmers had the opportunity to get acquainted with innovative products and technologies for various agricultural purposes.
