Agrarian Innovation Festival was held in Imishli district by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture in order to ensure the accessibility of agrarian innovations to agricultural product producers, to promote and encourage them.

At the festival, scentific research institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture, subordinate institutions, and a number of local and foreign companies operating in the agrarian field demonstrated their innovative products, equipment and technologies.

Organized in a new format, this festival consisted of several sections, including exhibitions and demonstrations, agribusiness meetings, panel discussions, start-up zones, training and information sessions.

In the exhibiton section, which is visited by farmers, producers, and representatives of agroparks of the economic region where the festival is held and the surrounding regions, agricultural machinery, drones of various purposes, new technologies applied in cotton cultivation, new means of combating pests, planting materials suitable for intensive gardening, in-fruit and vegetable samples grown in vitro, grape processing products, innovative irrigation techniques, alternative energy sources for agriculture, newly formed fodder plants, measuring instruments and laboratory equipment for agriculture and food industry, medical and sanitary equipment and drugs for animal husbandry were demonstrated.

During the festival, the participants of a number of start-up contests, competitons and hackathons were organizaed and partnered with the Agrarian Innovation Center, as well as higher education institutions, demonstrated prototypes, products, solutions, and inventions.

Farmers participating in the festival were given information sessions on agrarian insurance, crop and animal husbandry, precision farming, intelligent agricultural systems, training on the best advanced agricultural practices, priority directions for the development of agriculture in the region where the event was held.

During the panel discussions, experts from big companies specializing in this field shared their successful experiences, as well as information about the innovative technologies they apply in their farms, regarding the determination of the agricultural potential and perspective of the region, the development of agricultural areas suitable for the region.

Within the framework of the festival, business meetings were also held in order to assess the possibilities of joint cooperation and form business relations.
